Jeremy Renner to star in Hawkeye Netflix series or a solo movie…?

During a Q&A at Silicon Valley Comic Con, Jeremy Renner, a.k.a. Hawkeye, was asked if he would be interested in making the transition to television and star in a series on Netflix in the style of fellow superhero Daredevil. Renner explained it would be an ideal way to further explore the character, but  that no decision had been made and there currently was no plans that he was aware of…saying:

“I think that’s actually a really great model, if there’s ever a way to explore the character, maybe it’s in that world. These are things that are really not in my control, but I’d be open to it. I’ve really enjoyed getting to explore the character more recently. The Netflix model is where all the character drama goes to now, you’re doing a superhero movie or a Netflix or HBO kind of model. So I’d be open to it. Not up to me, though.”Black-Widow-Hawkeye-itf-puffycheaks1-and-callie2899-32735026-500-270

He was later asked about his thoughts on a Black Widow and Hawkeye movie, to which he instantly responded: “in a second. I’d love to do that.” A Black Widow/Hawkeye movie has been a constant request from fans, mainly due to the numerous hints about their past and their missions together that have been dropped throughout the Avengers movies. But again he stressed that there were no plans currently being discussed.
