Deadline reports that Ben Affleck is now poses to write, star and direct in a solo Batman film sometime in the undetermined future. While the news is confirmed don;t get all excited just yet, considering Affleck’s other non superhero directing duties on the Horizon specifically an adaption of the Novel “Live by Night” and a rumored sequel or prequel to his directorial and starring film “The Town” not to mention the long list of other DC comic properties already slated for release and development, this project may be years away.
DC Comics Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns, who is well known for his work on The WB/CW’s Smallville, Arrow and The Flash will co author the script.
There are no confirmed details yet as to the story or even if the solo Batman film will follow the continuity from Dawn of Justice or the upcoming Man of Steel sequel. More info as it develops.
